Water Softener

A Water Softener is a device that reduces the concentration of minerals, primarily calcium and magnesium, in hard water. It operates through ion exchange, replacing the hardness ions with sodium or potassium ions to prevent scale buildup. The softened water improves soap efficiency, extends the lifespan of appliances, and reduces scaling in plumbing systems. Periodically, the Water Softener regenerates by flushing accumulated minerals and recharging the resin bed with salt.
